Back to back victory for Sordo (Hyundai) at Rally Italia Sardegna
Alghero (Italy), October 11 2020. Dani Sordo and Carlos del Barrio won the 2020 edition of Rally Italia Sardegna on Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC. For the Spanish crew of the Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team is the second victory in a row in the Italian round of the World Rally Championship promoted by Automobile Club d'Italia with the support of Regione Sardegna. Second on podium with a 5.1 seconds gap but completing a brilliant Hyundai 1-2 were their teammates Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul who snatched the position from Sebastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia (Toyota Yaris WRC) in the thrilling Power Stage that ended the rally. 01/09/2020 - The count-down to the Rally Italia Sardegna 2020 has started as a little over a month is left ahead of the sixth round of the World Rally Championship that is scheduled for October 8-11. The event organized by Automobile Club d’Italia in collaboration with Regione Sardegna will feature 18 stages divided in three days for a total of 264 km competitive. Edition 2020 of the Rally Italia Sardegna will take place from October 8th to 11th. The itinerary is a remake of the original one presented in February. The Rally Italia Sardegna will take place next October 8-11 2020 in a period that is still great to visit Sardinia. The itinerary is going to be slightly shorter than in the past, as agreed with FIA. Due to the autumn period the timetable is going to be different and stages will begin early in the morning and will also end a lot earlier in the evening. The stages did not change much though, the novelty is Tempio and then Tula, Castelsardo, Monte Lerno and Coiluna have been confirmed. The Osilo-Tergu will be inverted, compared to the usual format.
